JESUS CARLES VILALLONGA

From Catalunya, Spain, J.C. Vilallonga arrived in Canada in 1954. Since 1957, Vilallonga's work has been presented in numerous one man shows around the world. Vilallonga's painting reflects a symbolic and poetic vision of his own reality inhabited by figures from his personnal mythology. It is difficult to decipher the code of Vilallonga's work.
His work is about humanity and about love. It is also a song of admiration for the female esthetic and harmony with mother earth. His subjects seem to be celestial. In fact, both the interior and external lives of his beings, both human and animal are transparent and rich with imaginery.
Vilallonga's paintings are included in many corporate public and private collections in North America and Europe.
